WoW Browser Roguelike Games
If you want a WoW-flavored survivors run inside a browser tab, the projects in this comparison contain one match: Azeroth Survivors by Aethus. It is free, needs no account, and requires WebGPU. The other famous names in this search are a desktop conversion, a Minecraft map, and a WoW addon.

Choose by the session you want
Start with the kind of progress you want to keep. A survivors run is about the character you build during that run: movement, automatic attacks, level-up choices and successive bosses. A persistent realm is about a character who remains part of an online world between visits. Both can show familiar Warcraft classes, but the familiar names do not make the sessions interchangeable. The useful comparison is the play loop, not whether a screenshot contains a warrior or a mage. If your goal is a shared questing world or an arena bracket, use those comparison pages before spending time on a survivors build guide.
For the projects covered here, Azeroth Survivors is the browser choice for that run-based loop. Keldurn and Last Havens belong in the Classic comparison because they describe persistent realms, accounts and shared worlds. Arena of Champions belongs in the arena comparison because its brackets are built around short competitive matches. These links answer different follow-up questions; they are not extra entries added to a survivors ranking.
The one that actually opens in a tab
Azeroth Survivors uses World of Warcraft 1.12.1 assets inside a from-scratch client. The community guide for build v0.90.0 describes nine classes, nine zones, and eight races, with no login and no remote server. Its old guide measured about 140 MB of browser data and a Windows build near 600 MB; current transfer sizes are unspecified. Newer update trackers report v0.140.0 on 4 November and additional zones, including Scholomance, so the nine-zone list is historical. PCGames.de also covered it as a browser game, which is the second independent write-up I rely on.
The loop is a survivors run: abilities cast on their own, three cards when you level, and a timed boss chain. In Elwynn Forest the guide names Hogger at 3:00, Mother Fang at 6:00, Rhahk'Zor at 9:00, Mr. Smite at 12:00, and Edwin VanCleef at 16:00. I repeat those times only as the guide's v0.90.0 reading. Class health and spells are on the Azeroth Survivors page, copied from the same build.
Read the name, platform, and version together
A search result that says Azeroth can point to four separate ecosystems in this comparison. Check the host before following a download button: the original Survivors entry is wow.aethus.pl, the Spires listing is on Planet Minecraft, and Azeroth Idle Forever is listed as a WoW addon on CurseForge. The desktop Hordes conversion is described in the linked news reports. An addon listing is not evidence of a standalone browser game, and a Minecraft project is not evidence of a WoW realm.
Version labels also answer different questions. The v0.90.0 class and zone guide is useful as a dated reference, while today's update trackers describe v0.140.0. The newer number does not let us silently rewrite old starting-health values or guess a new download size. Use the original project for the current entry point and the dated sources for a particular change. If you are comparing an old video with the latest notes, keep both version labels visible before deciding that either source is wrong.
Who should start here
Start with Azeroth Survivors if you have Chrome or Edge 113 or newer, or Safari 26, and you want a solo run tonight. Firefox still needs the WebGPU flag turned on, according to the compatibility table checked with this guide. If the screen stays black, use the troubleshooting page before you hunt for another compatible project.
Choose a realm page instead if you wanted other players, quests, or a level 60 grind. Keldurn and Last Havens are the browser MMOs. This page will not pretend they are roguelikes. Before following any external link, decide whether you want a solo run, a persistent realm or a competitive match. Then compare the account requirement and the version attached to the guide. That keeps an old walkthrough useful without treating its download sizes or balance values as current.
