Is WoW Forever a Browser Game?
No. WoW: Forever has an announced launch date of 2026-11-04 as an official branch you start from the Battle.net app on Windows or Mac. An active World of Warcraft subscription includes it. If you wanted a game that opens as a website, use the browser projects listed below instead of waiting for a Forever web client that the shop page does not offer.
| Source status | Blizzard announcement + separate release-date coverage |

What the official pages say
Blizzard's new-player guide for WoW: Forever, dated in late October 2026, calls it a stand-alone experience and points at the Battle.net app. The shop page lists a 2026-11-04 launch and a subscription requirement. Blizzard’s announcement gives 15:00 PST (23:00 UTC), so the calendar date alone does not mean the launch has already happened in every time zone. I use those two pages together. I do not add a download size, because neither page gave me one I was willing to treat as stable on launch day.
Invite-a-friend launch codes show up as a shop bonus for launch week. They are purchase extras, not a public list of redeemable browser codes. This site does not keep a code table for them.
What to open if you still want a tab
Keldurn is the vanilla browser realm. Last Havens is the Wrath one. Arena of Champions and WebWoW are arenas. Azeroth Survivors is the solo survivors run. None of them becomes Forever by changing the name in the search box. A cloud service can stream the official Forever client only if Forever is part of the WoW install your subscription already covers, and that stream is still the desktop game.
Questions people ask
| Can I play WoW Forever in Chrome? | Not as a native page. Install it through Battle.net, or stream that install with a cloud service. |
|---|---|
| Is Forever free? | It is included with a paid WoW subscription. The Free Trial does not add Classic-era branches. |
| Where are Forever beta codes? | Launch-week invite codes are a shop bonus, not a public code list. This guide does not collect them. |
| What should I play until I install it? | A browser project, if a tab is the point. Azeroth Survivors is the solo option. Keldurn is the realm option. |
